The Islands of Tahiti Announced as the Home for Bravo Media’s Below Deck Season Six

Los Angeles, CA – August 29, 2018 – The stunning environments of The Islands of Tahiti, specifically the islands of Tahiti and Moorea, will be the home for the sixth season of Bravo Media’s hit TV series “Below Deck” premiering October 2, 2018, at 9:00 pm ET/PT.  Below Deck follows the young, hardworking crew members who live, work and play onboard a multi-million dollar mega yacht, giving viewers a rare glimpse into the elusive world of yachting. This season marks the first time Below Deck has set sail for The Islands of Tahiti, and features the beloved Captain Lee and Kate Chastain (Chief Stewardess), along with a new crew, chartering the 185-foot custom motor luxury M/Y Seanna yacht for an array of clients.

To add to The Islands of Tahiti’s already burgeoning reputation as one of the world’s best sailing destinations, a new International Cruise Terminal is scheduled to open in 2020 in downtown Papeete. Financed by the Port of Papeete, the new cruise terminal will have the capacity to accommodate up to three ships simultaneously and 2,000 turnaround passengers. The terminal will also feature amenities such as an aerial walk, luggage room, complimentary Wi-Fi, check-in counters, waiting room, duty free, snack bar, café and reservations facilities.
