The Tahiti Pearl Regatta is a sporting regatta that brings together between 40 and 50 sailing boats, or 250 to 300 crew members.
The event revolves around a two-day race village in Raiatea, used both to finalize the registrations and to organize stands to raise awareness of the marine environment, a clean-up of the port, catamaran outings for the children of Raiatea, and entertainment for the participants and the inhabitants of Raiatea, promoting culture and heritage. The Village is followed by 3 days of regattas around Raiatea, Bora Bora and Taha’a. The TPR is the flagship event of sailing in French Polynesia, it allows to promote it to both residents and international competitors.
