The Islands of Tahiti Shares Virtual Experiences with Visitors

May 7, 2020 – With a unifying theme of #SunnierDaysAhead, the people of The Islands of Tahiti are reaching out virtually to future visitors in a new campaign called “Tahiti Comes to You.” In this series, released completely via online, Tahitians are sharing their culture, showcasing various demonstrations that include subjects such as Tahitian dance, planting coral, and even how to make your own monoi oil, a traditional beauty product in The Islands of Tahiti.

The campaign launched with a special prologue video highlighting the current situation and sending a message of solidarity and a desire to share the spirit of Mana, or the spirit of The Islands of Tahiti, during this time of global crisis. In addition to the variety of demonstration videos, other resources have been created such as recipes for Tahitian-inspired cuisine and cocktails, a Spotify playlist, and suggestions for movies, such as the classic Mutiny on the Bounty or more contemporary films, such as Moana or Couples Retreat, to inspire your next visit.

This series creates an opportunity to learn about The Islands of Tahiti and engage with this warm and inviting culture, even when it is not possible to travel. More videos will be developed in the coming week to showcase the diverse and culturally-rich experience of being in The Islands of Tahiti.

To see the latest videos be sure to follow Tahiti Tourisme on Instagram and Facebook where videos are updated weekly. #SunnierDaysAhead!  #LoveTahiti
