Classified as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, Fakarava is enchanting both on land and underwater. Diving in Fakarava is the promise of exceptional encounters in an environment preserved from mass tourism. To the north, the Garuae channel, the widest in Polynesia, is an ideal playground, with its astonishingly good coral reef and its concentration of pelagic fish and shark species. In the south, the Tetamanu pass and its airs of the end of the world is a destination of choice for a day trip. And to get off the beaten track, why not dare to spend a day on Toau atoll, a wild destination par excellence.
